어젯밤에는 제가 M. Night Shyamalan의 Trap 보러 영화관에 갔어요. 초자연적 영화 아니라 스릴러예요. M. Night Shyamalan의 딸 Saleka는 배우와 가수예요. 그 영화에서 아주 잘 했어요! M. Night Shyamalan의 또 다른 딸 Ishana는 감독이에요. 최근 영화 The Watchers 감독했지만 제가 보지 않았어요.

저는 요즘에 <스물다섯 스물하나> 보고 있어요. 그 드라마 세팅을 너무 좋아해요. 옛날에 저도 비밀로 우리 엄마의 일기장을 읽었지만 드라마보다 재미없었어요. 그래도 우리 아빠랑 우리 엄마의 처음 데이트 대해 읽었어요. 그건 좀 좋아요.

네, 감사합니다. 그 드라마는 재미있고 좋아해요. 좋아하는데 드라마에 다 좋아하는 것을 한국어 이야기 잘 못해요. 다 이야기 못하지만 제가 제일 좋아하는 것을 이야기 할 수 있어요 : 다리 위에 백이진 고백! 그분들 스킨십! 나희도 고유림이랑 우정!

저는 <스물다섯 스물하나> 보지 않았어요. 근데 제가 유튜브에서 예고편을 봤어요. 펜싱은 재미있는 것 같아요. 제가 미국 만화 Fence 읽어요. CS Pacat (Captive Prince, Dark Rise) 작가라서 BL이에요.

Fence는 저도 먼저 생각했어요. 신간 많이 기대하고 있어요!

펜싱는 그 드라마에서 좋은 것 같아요. 나희도와 고유림 재미있어요. 그분들은 좀 GL 바이브 있어요. Enemies to Lovers 처럼 생각해요.

작년에는 china_shop하고 제가 Enemies to Lovers 한국어로 어떻게 말하는지 궁금했어요. china_shop의 한국 친구는 '혐관' (< '혐오관계') 말했어요. 그리고 제 한국 친구는 '적과의 로맨스' 말했어요. :D

저는 <혐관> 이해하지 않아요. <관계>는 한국어로 좀 좋은 소리 있어요? 그냥… <혐관>은 지금 저한테 enemies와 비슷하고 lovers 안 보여요. <적과의 로맨스> 더 좋은 것 같아요.

I think I’ve come to the edge of my skills with this question/discussion. Can I ask you to tell me how you understood what I just tried to say? I want to check whether I said what I think I said.

Here's how I understand what you said:
I don't understand <혐관>. Does <관계> have a positive sound in Korean? (I think you meant 의미, aka 'meaning'.) Then... <혐관> is similar to 'enemies' and I don't see 'lovers'. <적과의 로맨스> seems better.

My answer:
<관계> means 'relationship', and in fandom terms, it probably means 'romantic/sexual relationship'. If you're interested, both terms have a namu.wiki page with lots of examples (you can machine-translate them): 적과의 로맨스 / 혐관.

I was thinking that 혐관 translates as hate relationship and that I don’t see the contrast of enemies to lovers in it. I’m seeing the enemies bit, but not the lovers in the expression. I was then wondering whether relationship has a positive connotation (which translated to sound rather than meaning in my multilingual brain). I think this got across, however poorly?

Yes, it got across. 'Connotation' is 내포, but I've just learnt it, it's advanced vocab. Though I think your writing is at intermediate level. :-)

난 지금 Profiterole 씨가 추천한 서울에 배경된 책을 읽고 있는데 제목은 Small Gods of Calamity이고, 귀신을 볼 수 있는 경찰관에 대한 이야기예요.
이 책은 원래 영어로 쓴 것 같아요. 번역 아니예요.
장 몇개만 읽었지만 지금까지 좋아요.
