The novella Like the First Moon Landing by Matthew J. Metzger was fascinating. Maggie is a cargo ship pilot. Stranded in deep space, she encounters another ship in a similar situation.

This sci-fi story has some horror vibes: no alien attacks, but people in need of help in the middle of nowhere.

Maggie is intersex, uses she/her pronouns, but still questions her gender identity. Lídia is a sapphic trans woman.

Sapphic (from the female poet Sappho) is currently used as an umbrella term for lesbian, bisexual and pansexual women and woman-aligned non-binary people.

The male equivalent is achillean, but it's not used as much as sapphic.
