3-Body Problem
Mar. 30th, 2024 05:32 pmNetflix's 3-Body Problem was mind-blowing! Five people who studied physics together at Oxford must face several issues: particle physics not working properly any more, scientists committing suicide, a VR game with an impossible technology... and maybe something more coming in the future.
The story was new to me, as I haven't read the novels, nor watched the c-drama, nor read the manhua (I actually discovered there was a manhua only yesterday, when it got nominated for the Hugos). But this has become my new favourite sci-fi series ever. I love how much it focuses on physics.
Benedict Wong (Wong in the MCU) plays a special agent who investigates these issues, and who has a gay son that we see in a couple of episodes.
If you prefer an adaptation closer to the books (all of it taking place in China, instead of spanning several countries), the c-drama is available legally and for free on Viki.
