Love in the Big City by Park Sang Young

Love in the Big City by Park Sang Young (translation by Anton Hur) was excellent. Young is a gay writer living in Seoul, telling us about his relationships with several men, but also with his (female) best friend and his mother.

We had a book club over at Tumblr, because this novel is getting a movie and a drama adaptations. If you don't mind spoilers, here's my tag.

Note that this book doesn't belong to the romance genre, but to contemporary fiction. Some parts deal with heavy themes. But it's also fun and very modern, never shying away from talking about sex, to the point that I wonder if it will be toned down in the adaptations.
