More Than Utopia by Benjanun Sriduangkaew
Sep. 8th, 2023 10:10 pmMore Than Utopia by Benjanun Sriduangkaew was fascinating. When the aliens arrive, Jirayu's wife Yvette disappears from the world. Another Yvette from a parallel universe appears some time later, as their bond makes them a cognate pair.
This is not a fluffy book, Jirayu is a weapons dealer and Yvette is her bodyguard. We even see some instances of them die. And yet I was entranced by the author's writing style, successfully reflecting the story's intensity.
Jirayu is Thai. There's major f/f, as well as several non-binary characters.
