The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher by E.M. Anderson was fun. Edna Fisher, 83, lives in a nursing home and is therefore pretty surprised to be the new Chosen One. She must face a sorcerer and his flock of dragons.
As the story goes along, Edna gathers a group of misfits that will help her make things right. The writing style is a little YA, which makes sense for a Chosen One parody, but doesn't really fit with an older protagonist.
Edna has diabetes, arthritis, a botched hip replacement and uses a cane. There's m/m and f/f, as well as several characters on the asexual spectrum.
