This book manages to be action-packed while having a very vivid worldbuilding (with a Byzantine vibe) and detailed characterisation for many beings (human and supernatural). It has a proper ending, but I need the sequel as soon as possible for more Izmirlian.
There's major m/m and minor m/m, as well as a variety of fascinating female characters.
