Spectacular Silver Earthling by Mara Lynn Johnstone

Spectacular Silver Earthling by Mara Lynn Johnstone was hilarious, except for a few sad parts. The robot Hubcap and the human Elliot are co-hosts of the Earth TV show "Odd Jobs Off-World". They face many dangers, including the mysterious space frenzy.

In addition to the humour, the best thing about this book is the First Contact with an alien species using colour communication. I especially liked that several of the aliens got POV chapters.

There are a few LGBT characters, but they're all very minor.

Mother tongue: French

Some basics: German, Latin, Japanese, Chinese

So the answer is either 4 or 8, depending on what you count. I learnt the European languages at school, the Asian languages on my own.
