Aaaaaaa maybe this will help me get back into it (I loved RTD's first run, but stopped watching midway through Moffat's). I saw Ncuti Gatwa on stage in Importance of Being Earnest, and he's SO charismatic.
Because you mentioned Martha — I have a weird fondness for the episode where she's introduced, because it does a bunch of complex craft things so well, including a bunch of little details (like her comment about oxygen, checking the instruction manual for the X-ray machine) that tell the audience so much about her more scientific approach and how she differs from Rose (who, for many audience members, would have been the only companion character they knew at that point).

Strangely enough I enjoy both Cybermen and Daleks (well not always, but overall I don't mind them!) which is odd I suppose, but I feel like both Cybermen and Daleks have more personality and the robots we got in this episode.
