Nos identités futures, celles qu'on imagine, celles qu'on espère

The French anthology Nos identités futures, celles qu'on imagine, celles qu'on espère was good, but a bit expensive for its length. It gathers only 6 short stories on the theme "Our future identities, the ones we're imagining, the ones we're hoping for."

I mostly recommend it for anyone who doesn't read long novels yet (kids, people studying French as a foreign language...). Based on the topic, I expected more utopian wordbuilding, but several authors went for post-apocalyptic backgrounds.

Here are the identities represented:
- a Muslim boy and a girl of Korean descent
- a girl and a boy, both with cerebral palsy
- a lesbian and a bisexual girl
- a French Guianese girl
- a neurodivergent mlm trans boy
- a woman of Maghrebi descent

Note that the last story, while being pro-trans, contains a casual mention of HP. *sighs*

i'm so sick of people mentioning hp like if you have any social media presence, you know why she's done for 🙄 like i'm convinced that people who still promote her shit don't have trans people they love in their lives. not even that, the bipoc representation and lowkey jewish antisemitism with the goblins was overtly disgusting come on let that series die.
