The Unlikely Heir by Jax Calder

The Unlikely Heir by Jax Calder was awesome! After a huge corruption scandal, Callum Prescott, who lives in the US, moves up from 11th in line to actual heir to the British Crown. Oliver Hartwell is the Prime Minister, from the Labour party.

This is an m/m romance for fans of Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston: it has the same high quality level! Callum and Oliver have the most amazing chemistry. There's a lot of humour, but also serious discussions about possibly ending the monarchy. Note that there's a 14-year age gap (25/39).

That seems like something straight up my alley. Too bad there doesn't seem to be an epub version. I did leave the author a question on Goodreads about any plans to do an epub release, so we'll see what she says.

Both. My e-reader takes epubs, though I'm pretty sure that Calibre could convert mobi to epub. However, I've no idea how to download a mobi file from Amazon and strip the DRM, and it's not important enough to me to figure out whether it's even possible.

And also I avoid Amazon.

The first would the practical solution, yes. It just runs right into the avoid Amazon reason. *g*
